Hey all. Yesterday after school, I brought the car to FINALLY have the exhaust completely redone. 6 1/2 hours later it was finally done, and COMPLETELY WORTH IT!!
Because my car is a GS, it come from the factory with single exhaust. just functional, nothing fancy. Before I bought it, when it was still my dad's, he paid $600 for complete garbage. 2" straight pipes, 2.25" Flo-Pro beer cans, and back down to 2" over the axle into stubby, stupid looking tips. Not a good setup.
About a year later I got him a pair of Magnaflow 22" x 4" x 2.5" tips. Aside from one side hanging a little low and being crooked, it looked a lot better. That ended up being another $300 for the tips and new tubing over the axle. It was about a month later that I bought the car off of him when he got his Continental.
Now to present day. I bought the Black Widow Venom 250 mufflers (http://www.blackwidowexhaust.com/shop/shop#!/Venom-250-series-Muffler/p/35648298/category=9066185) and Pypes X-pipe back in early April. So I had the good stuff, I just didn't have the time, money, or need to have it all re-done yet. Until now! I was on my way to cruise Woodward after the Mt. Clemens cruise last Saturday, and that's when the exhaust literally blew apart. I got off I-696 and heard a really bad smacking/flapping/popping noise and immediately turned around & headed up. Jacked the car up and looked underneath it and found out what the problem was. Remember the shop that initially did the dual exhaust conversion? Well they made a booger weld connecting a steel bar between the straight pipes to keep them from rattling, and the booger rusted and blew a quarter size in one pipe.

The new setup is full 2.5" (except for over the axle, that's 2.25") with a Pypes X-pipe and Black Widows. As some of you already know, I'm the young gear head punk of the forum (I'm 17) and because of that live at home. My parents didn't want me cutting off the rear cats, so those are still on. But overall it sounds really nice. It gives off a really crisp, clean sound and is still pretty loud from outside.

Overall these mufflers are amazing and worth every penny. Thanks for reading everyone & I hope you like it
