Why is it ricers always think sitting there with the engine bouncing off the rev limiter for 5 minutes is cool? Don't they realise it sounds like a broken chain-saw?

I take that back...the chain-saws they use on Ax Men sound better...

Might be my speakers but that street rod sounds like crap.

Probably hearing only 4 cylinders since the open pipes were facing 180 degrees away.

I suppose the cheapo cell phone recording isn't helping either.

The sound those tuner cars make is like nails on a chalk board to me. They may be fast, but oh so irritating.

PRICELESS!
Sets off a car alarm at start up, can't hear a kernel of rice boil over the stout V8 :)

My favorite tuner story:
I was driving on Interstate 80, near exit 25. I was in my 1993 Mustang GT. The car has a 750 HP, 331 hemi-stroker engine, a Vortech V-7 supercharger, and engines parts to match.

Some guy in a rice rocket pulls along side and tries to "challenge me". I laughed, and motioned to him to wait one minute. I reached into the back seat and retrieved my crash helmet. I was running at Island Drag way earlier that day.
He saw me put the helmet on, and motioned to forget it. He understood what "outclassed was".

Ah... American muscle!
