We just bought this because our old one, in it's last few days, wasn't very good at keeping the freezer below 60º.

It's really big, has cool controls, and a pimped out blue light in the water/ice dispenser.

Ah yes, the love of machines, for any function!

My mom didn't think stainless steel matched the decor...I didn't really get why it mattered... However I was going more for the satin finish or black...

Sorry Mac, my dad drank all the beer when my mom told him how much the fridge cost:lol:

The first thing I woud do to that is install an Trilogy Supercooler. They are much better than the Vortech type coolers. Oh, and don't waste your money on worthless mods like more ice trays or larger storage crisper drawers. You will eventyally realize that the cooler is the way to go in the first place and wish you didn't wast the money.

If you DO upgrade the cooler be sure to get the stainless steel water lines. they help keep the heat down and are great under high pressure.

Finally, are you going to tint the clear shelves? I think that they look really cool with a 35% tint on the top shelf and 25% on the lower shelves.

Best,

Dan

PS: Hey, if someone has enough time to post a fridge pic don't wonder about how much time I have on my hands. :D

To be honest, some of the bottem drawers are tinted in the front a little:lol:

Nothin' like a bug zapper on a warm summer night - with a couple o' six packs of your favorite cold beverage. for real fun, try removing the outer guard so the larger bugs have equal access. The 30 - 40 second burns give off an impressive light & smoke show!

They can, personal family photos is what I heard in one major magazine (don't as which) so I'm sure that's a custom job in it's own...

Hey, Kenny Brown is expensive enough, maybe they should include that with a supercharger package purchase!:D

I think it needs the wider casters and lowered suspension too. Maybe reflective red Sears lettering.

I am so glad that this gang has such a sense of humor.

I was afraid that I had reignited the Vortech cooler vs Roots cooler debate again.

Hey, I heard that Sears and Sub-Zero will not continue their production into 2005. Their marketing people have indicated that there is absolutely no interest in huge, powerful, streamlined and good-looking refrigerators capable of holding 5 cases of beer plus snacks.

Any truth in this rumor??

Wait - I just read that Sears will be releasing a more powerful "super" version of this unit in 2005. You must be mistaken.

An all time low!? Todd! This stuff is COOOL!

Hey while we're talking about cool gadgets, I got a 15GB MP3 Dell DJ for my birthday, with FM transmitter so I can set it down in the passenger seat or whatever, and listen to music on it on the radio...

But even with all that...I'm going to buy that new CD "Live" of Alison Krauss and Union Station later on today. Can't wait!
