makes me think of Zack

"The 85’ body bolted onto the 2007 frame with no modifications whatsoever. All the body mounts lined up perfectly like they were meant to be there. This means that Ford used same basic frame design on the Panther platform since 1979 all the way to 2011. Sure, they updated the suspension and steering but basic foundation remained the same"

very, very cool build!

I figured he had to be. I just couldn't let this gem go unshared.

Looks great, nice job. I keep seeing it in my minds eye with raised outlined white letter tires though.

Damn it now you've made me have to go and spend time cruising craigslist looking for a car to do this to.

I've thought about doing this since the late 90's. My personal choice would be to find a Mark VI 2dr, drop it on a 03 up chassis and power it with a Mark VIII engine. For wheels I'd do some of the 03 up TC wheels so they have the star logo. Although I love the interior swap If I did a Mark I'd have to keep the interior stock. With a GM or CV I could certainly see doing the late model interior swap.

The reason the basic chassis bolts on is because the first Aero TC rode on a Box frame w/o any mods. So when they did the new frame and 4.6 in its second year they had to keep the mounting points the same. Then they carried the 92 GM body shell over through the 3 different chassis so those mounting locations and much of the floor stampings stayed the same from 79 despite using a total of 4 different frames.

I think that's the engine and blower I beat at STAP with my N/A Rauder - :)

When you gonna fix up your MM?

Different engine. The one you beat was NPI motor out of 96'. Right now it's got a PI motor out of 04'. More boost as well. This one ran 12.7x.

Marauder is up for sale. Body is too far gone for me to invest any time in it.

Ah well. Just tryin to bust your chops a bit.

Good job on the 85, did you take it to the drags?

Sorry about your MM I think you should keep it, or at least get another one. Body couldn't be that bad.
