First Shoot with the new car.

Some of you might remember that i just picked this old girl up, she needs paint work work, its entire life has been spent in the sun. But That is why i have it, it will be going for paint shortly.

So far I've done a new compressor, drives and passenger window regulators, new drivers door switch, all LED interior, new plugs and boots, new fuel filter, new air filter and next will be a new trans filter with new Royal Purple Max ATF. Possible J-Mod once i read up on it more.

yes, the owner before me said it was starting to pit and rust. so he sanded it down and plasta-dipped it.

The stock Tranny may work with Royal Purple Max ATF but just an FYI; years ago when I supercgarged my marauder & had tranny rebuilt to handle the extra power... (Clutch's, bands etc...)
I was told that the Ropyal Purple ATF will not work best in my tranny now... & I should only use mercon 5 rated amesoil in my tranny now... & so you know I buy Royal Purple motor oil by the multi gallon jug & 55 gallon druim... I have a small hand crank pump I use to get it out...

Long story short check the mercon rating etc... stock tranny probably fine though..

well it will be, its going for a new paint job shortly. its in everyway shape and form the way i picked it up a few weeks back.

we are a dealer for RP, so I have also started using it in the engine now that his is mine. i will be doing an atf treatment near the end of this oil change as well as a seafoam treatment after the oil change since i do not know the history on this car, I need to order the K&N oil filters with the check valve, I have a small knock on startup.

I need to order the K&N oil filters with the check valve, I have a small knock on startup.It's actually called an ADBV (Anti Drainback Valve) and every filter spec'd for the 4.6 has one. Don't waste your money on a K&N...the Motorcraft FL820S is a better filter for way less money.

K&N oil filters used to be made in the USA by Champion Laboratories and were high quality. They're now made in Korea and the quality had dropped considerably, but the price hasn't. If you find one that says it's made here, that's old stock...

we ordered like 50 from rock auto years ago when they had a clearence, I have never looked at the box to be honest. I know we cut one open after a break in run on out race 4v, they looked like really good filters, that is why I have always used them. i will look on the box/filter now that you have said somthing.
