I know there are a lot of variables but just wondering what some of you guys are paying for insurance on the MM's?
I am insured with Geico Currently with just liability on my 99 Expedition which is $250/6 months
To add a 2004 MM ,$500/Ded, Full coverage would be $726/6 months for both cars (liability only on the Expy)

Also, I asked her how they would base the replacement cost if it were to get stolen or totaled and she said they look at it as a 2004 Mercury, nothing special

I have grundy stated value of $38,000.00 on the mustang. 550/year

I have liability safeco insurance on my s10 and its 175.00 per 6 months, I added insurance on my marauder with full coverage for a total of both to a tune of 300.00 for 6 months. S10 was lowered to 100.00 due to second car with that company, and marauder is 200.00, so 300.00 is a deal for me!!

Didn't go with grundy on my marauder cause it's not a toy and I drive it daily, grundy required no errands and must have a dedicated garage spot.

I have no tickets or dui dwi ect

Why is yours so high?

If you don't drive daily, and frequent car cruises and shows, go with Grundy
My regals are like 80 bucks a year

Insurance is based on your age, demographics, etc of your area. Many factors determine it.

I know nothing about Grundy, but seems like the one to go with from what I hear from most members for collector insurance.

$86 a month full coverage but based on low mileage.
My son who is a G1 driver. G2 in November(graduated licensing here) was told its $2000 per year as an occasional driver on my car. They want $5800 a year for his 79 Malibu.
IN ONtario Canada you MUST have 10 years driver experience in order to get classic car insurance and it has to be min 20 years old. But across the pond in Michigan you can be 16 and it doesnt matter. Government law not Hagerty law. (shake head)

On the highway I had a semi run a Ford Taurus down the side of my mustang at 55 mph.. Semi took off and Taurus did come into my lane to create collision

I never checked the police report, my car needed fender, door, and quarter replaced. Zero dollar deductible, and grundy paid the ford dealer to fix it.

Grundy was super easy to deal with, and the car looks new again

Right now I'm paying $250 for 6mo liability only on my MM through Standard Mutual Insurance. Paying about the same for my '01 Buick Century which is my daily driver.

And they wont consider it if there is an insurance event, since it is not listed on the policy, add-ons etc. dont mean squat to them without it in writing. It would be better to go with an agreed value policy from somewhere.

My insurance is $1072 for a year for 3 vehicles, Marauder, WRX, F350. In the process of looking into agreed value insurance for the marauder as right now it's just a Marauder.

Look at the definition of value in your auto policy. Most auto policies use Actual Cash Value.

Actual Cash Value means any and everything should be taken into consideration. Generally it results in what you could buy a similar car for in your area.

Look at your application to see if it asks if there are any modifications or special equipment questions.

Most policies exclude racing, racing frequently defined as from the time you arrive at the track until you leave.

If you have ACV, no questions about modifications or special equipment in most cases you can collect what it would cost to get another similar Marauder. I have also asked for and gotten the sales tax.

It all comes down to what your policy says and what your application says.

I pay $383/6mo full coverage $500 deductible Progressive 26 years old.
I get a discount through work for Geico, even with that discount they couldn't come close to Progressive. My work is a Progressive repair facility so I stuck with them.

Running one of these in Europe is expensive, I pay $1600 per year on a collector vehicle policy and I can't do more than 10.000 miles each year. For comparison my daily driven Audi A6 is $900/year without limitations.

So funny thing; my insurance company charges $350 a term LESS for my 03 Marauder than they did for my 04. 03 VINs must pull as MGM's with a Marauder package. The 03 is also less to insure than the wife's 04 F150 4x4 by a couple hundred as well...and I'm the one with a ticket on record.
