Yep....he's be deep into the 9's if it would launch hard.
Maybe trying to preserve the trans and rear....:dunno: .....???
That thing does move down the track for a 4,400 lb tub of lard.

I saw this car on the Dyno at HHP racing next to Performance Evolution in Smyrna when I was dropping Slayer off for the A/C. It made 636 HP to the wheels with exhaust and cam work. With nitrous it made over 900 HP on the dyno.

I bought a brand new 2011 challenger , the rear end fell apart 6 times in 1,200 miles. I never got a chance to do a burnout in it because for the 2 years it was broken Hemi with a 6 speed manual what a joke
I lemon lawed it, lost some money, but will never buy a new dodge again.
If they couldn't get the rear cradle issues fixed for 376hp how is 707hp not going to rip it to pieces?

6 times?? you gotta go more into detail there because 3 would seem unlikely. why would a dealer ever let it get to SIX!!??

Yeah. Sounds like the dealer tech didn't know how to put it back together. AND, if you were one of my customers, I would have been raising he11 in the service dept after the second time ! :argue: :mad2:

Bought it Thursday went back to dealer in two days with 225 miles, every time you let the clutch out, the rear cradle would rock back and forth.
Example: So like on a 4 point tie rear take all bolts out and replace with bolts half as thick in diameter. It rattled so bad that I had it towed to stealership cause it got so bad pass rear tire toed in two inches toward door
Repeat two more times in 200 miles
Forth time they replaced the center differential because it was howling and now I had the district lead fix it manager for a test drive Cradle loose a forth time, new bolts cause old ones were stretched, new bushings
Fifth time repeat first time, and I now wanted to drive it through the glass front door
Fix it manager fixes it, we go for test drive and noises are coming from the rear, I saw red, literally I always thought that was a joke... Got so mad he saw red, I wanted out of this car
So, here is why I wanted to kill the manager,... Goes like this.,.
Him :We can't find out what the real problem is, but when it finally breaks you'll know it!
Me: Now mind you I'm headed to Florida in a week. What happens when I'm trapped there and it falls apart?
Him: there's dealers down there
Me: what happens if it falls apart when I'm doing 75 down the road?
Him: we have done all we can for this car, have a nice day
Me: so why put my life in jeopardy when you can't fix it? What if I die driving this car and it falls apart?
Him: NOT MY CAR
I saw red and I wanted to beat him so bad, I wanted blood!
I bought the mustang two weeks prior to buying the challenger, never have had it in for anything but the free oil changes. Buying two black brand new cars was awesome for about two weeks.

sounds like a dealer problem, not a challenger problem. someone probably has the same story about a corvette, a mustang, a camry..etc.. so there was factory flaw that could have been fixed and the dealer dropped the ball. no reason to swear off dodges for life. thats like getting one bad meal at one McDonalds and swearing off all of them.

Guy down the street from my parents is a service writer for a dodge stealership over in Kansas. He said they have had a lot of stick shifted cars that cropped up with the same issue
That's like McDonald's serving bad food to everyone!
I don't care about it, not the dealers fault, car was a pos in two days of ownership
Peace

Yes and no, 1967 GTX same car as 1966 Belvedere, (you could get a Hemi in both) 440 Magnum/ Commando debuted in 1967. I'm slicing hairs here, but I love specifics.
