Hi guys
While checking the car yesterday I noticed there's a TUBE laying out of the PCV system and connect to nothing!
It's actually plugged out and I want to ask what is it for?
And is it normally the PCV hose collapsed?
I well try to put a picture marked with my inquiry.
Thanks

Glad to see that you got that hood latch working again. Looks like that hood hasn't been opened up in years. No it shouldn't be collapsed. It is also a different size than the OEM. Better check out that head/cover bolt that is backing out too !!
Here is mine for comparison of the tubes ....

Yes that PCV hose needs to be replaced.
Need a better picture of the hose you are holding to see where is goes.
Not a head bolt that needs tightening but a cam cover bolt.
CLEAN THAT ENGINE COMPARTMENT!!!!..... Unless all that dust and dirt is holding everything together

Thanks guys the reason for dirty engine bay I cleaned it well before and it's such a pita! Then the blowby got the oil cap flying and dirty cause the engine bay ps my hood I think is not aligned or closing well :(
From bluerader pictures I think that hose connect to the COT! could it be?
Any link or part NO for the oem PCV?
Sorry I didn't understand which bolt you guys pointing out!
Yes it connects to the COT.
Don't bother fixing it, someone welded it shut.
Coolant is run through the manifold for cars in extremely cold climates to prevent icing of the intake.
You do not live in a cold climate

It is the one just above the "c" where you wrote "collapsed". Looks new because it is not dusty/dirty like the rest.

The bolt is on the top of the cam cover. Look at the PCV valve and follow a straight horizontal line to the firewall, you should see the loose bolt.
Someone replaced the PCV hose/hardline with a straight hose and I bet it isn't even PCV hose, probably plain heater hose.
Here is a good post on a fix.

It's originally a combination of rubber fittings on each end and a hardline like this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/BRAND-NEW-OEM-PCV-VALVE-CONNECTOR-HOSE-2003-2006-MERCURY-MARAUDER-4-6L-V8-4V-/281559131184?hash=item418e3b64 30&vxp=mtr
If you do replace it with a rubber hose make sure the hose is rated for use in the emission system.

I'd recommend adding a K&N Dry charger to your Eaton swap list.
It will help keep your eaton filter from being clogged with sand in 10 minutes! ;)

It's a CAM COVER bolt. Just tighten the one that is already there.
