Navigating Cobb Parkway when the Blue Angels are giving a show at Dobbins is an experience. Having them scream over the garage at low levels is also cool.
Back to Marietta I went this weekend, for Round Two on my mod schedule. Friday, I returned to Megamaxx to have a Nokia Total Car Kit installed, and they tweaked my stereo system, boosting amps on the highs, deboosting the subwoofer amp a tad. Amazing sound.
Scott installed the axle kit for my car as part of the warrantee claim. I am SOOOO glad this was warrantee, because the cost was almost $1,000 in parts and labor.
Scott also installed cooler Motorcraft copper plugs, a Hypertech 180 degree stat (he told me he uses the same manufacturer's stat, except a 160 degree, in his racing Lincoln Mark), and put Royal Purple oil in with an oil change.
He and Jason also installed Nordskog digital gauges, which is the subject of its own thread.
My OEM spoiler is painted and looks great, but time contraints had the install postponed for round 3. Scott did get the Eibachs installed, and Jeff of the Team Ford Amazing Techs did an alignment. I am thrilled with them!
There were two other Marauders in Team Ford for work. Unfortunately, I have a confidentiality agreement (as in I got shooed away and couldn't see what the secret project was, which was HARD as HELL because the car was right next to mine...). Stay tuned.
Todd was away on bidness, and the word is the secret project will be revealed soon. The Team Ford guys know what it is, but wouldn't tell me.
Round 3, which is tentatively scheduled for two weeks from now (when Marty is in town), will be the install of SVO shorty headers, cats, and 18" Magnaflows. And the spoiler.
Round 4 is waiting on Baer to make my brakes, and the wait is long I hear.
This round may involve installation of control arms and a watts link, if they are ready.
Sigh, every time I talk to Todd and/or see other people's MM's, I add another $1,000 to my modding budget. :)
Secret project? I don't know any secret project....
Hey Donny...sorry I missed you today...(even though I chased you all over yesterday ;) )...sounds like things went well, of course...you're being taken care of by the best collection of minds for our cars...bar-none!
Brakes? I spoke with Hal Baer yesterday...they are on the way.
Control arms and WATTS link? Whatchyutalkinbout Willis!!! ;)
And I DIG the gauges, dude. And don't worry about the color of the digital (in fact, in the pics they look GREAT!!!) it won't matter when you install.....:nono: OOPS...

Secret project? I don't know any secret project.... That aint what I hear!!:cool4:
Man, the Atlanta MM'ers are hip deep in secret projects! You'd think Jason was working on the Manhatten project. He even covered up the work in progress with a shop towel when I got near.
Did I say something about control arms? Oops, must be the fajitas I had at Pappasitos this afternoon. I meant to say bontrol barms.;)
Oh, and nice save for my "secret" project. I was wistfully admiring it, whispering to it "soon... soon, you will be mine..." before Jake told me to knock it off, I was weirding people out.

You're not the ONLY one with a secret weapon!!! hee hee hee....:P
I will reveal at our next breakfast!!!
And don't EVEN try to bribe our buddies at Team Ford!! They are sworn to secrecy....just like they are to you....believe me, I begged and pleaded for them to tell what YOU are up to with your car.......but they remained tight lipped!
--->from your mostest favoritest Marauderchick!!!;) :D

Just remember...Scott & Jason...yeah they'll keep quiet.
But Jeff? Like takin candy from a baby...:PJeff was aligning an awesome Mustang while I and Ms. Mchick were there. This thing did a dyno pull on the Team Ford dyno at 1300 rwhp without the mufflers, 1000 rwhp with the mufflers on. Yes, that's right, the mufflers ate up 300 rwhp! Twin turbo, 4" exhaust system, and with stock headlamps and taillamps, a "street outlaw." Aric was doing dyno pulls all afternoon. It was a toss up which was louder, some of the cars he was tuning, or the Blue Angels screaming over the dealership.
At one point, Scott and I were talking and I think MC may have thought he was spilling the beans, because he got such a look that he stopped the conversation dead in its tracks, and we were talking about having a dent popped out of my trunk, not about the Big Secret.
I think covered up my eyes a dozen times while doing my Schultz impersonation "I SEE NOTHING! NOTHING!"
BTW, I had the mistaken first impression that Jason's Maverick was a beater, until I got a closer look under the hood today. His electrical work on that car is nothing short of amazing.

You gotta watch Kathy, now Donny...she's a very sneaky girl...:nono:
And as far as Jason's Maverick...that thing is NO beater. But, a work of art in the engine bay...you're right.

Too bad this conversation is no longer for you three only.
This is awesome. I can't wait to hear what Todd and Kathy have done.
Hmmm...I might need to plan a trip to a breakfast club this summer...

I'll tell my parents I'm sleeping over at Taylors, then going to the mall in the morning till 3 or 4...I'm not really allowed on the Interstate, because my mom is terrified of it:down:
I'll MIGHT work out some schematics, but it may not happen for a few months:up:
