Many have gotten them from NeverEnough.

I got mine straight from Addco in Linville, N.C. - happened to have a business trip near there.

The price was right to me. Saved $53.00.

yes. I have a front in my parts room from them. The rear, however is another story. It's being delivered today, from Summit.
I got tired of waiting for it from NE... after 4 months. Summit shipped it same day.

I did check with them and they had one yesterday but checking to make sure.

good move.
I called to confirm price and that they had any, and they asked me to wait while they confirmed availability from Addco.
I never heard back from them, but my card was charged, and the bar showed up.
Amazing they retain that low price without stocking inventory!

Bob Mathis

That is what I did yesterday and they said that there where some in stock and I think he said at Addco but it was low. The price like you said I can not believe it either.

Just the front 1 1/4.

Got it. I see two different options for the 1 1/4 though. Item number 2294 and item number 2196. Not really sure of the difference?

Yes, tubular vs solid, 5 lbs less per sway bar. On the rear it is unsprung weight. You need shorter Energy Suspension end links on the rear if the car is lowered to keep it from hitting the diff cover.

One is 1 3/8 and is hollow. Lighter, thicker diameter, but hollow. Weighs less. Costs a lot more.

Completely agree... Can only afford to do both fronts, 1/2 to 3/4 coil cut, sbc, Kybs, Addco, and alignments... Then will do both backs. Seems awkward I know.

Q though, does the rear sway work well with new KYBS, WITHOUT doing the watts link and control arms???

I got my front sway bar in last week and installed over the weekend. Mine did not come with collars, but it looks like it's staying centered. Haven't heard any clunking and haven't noticed anything from the front end behaving weird. How much were they from the local hardware store? Did you put them on the inside or outside of the bushings?

They drop ship direct from ADDCO, and I believe that NE may be a low priority for them. I ordered front and rear from them on 5/15, the front arrived 6/20 and the rear never arrived. On 9/15 I ordered that from Summit and got it 3 days later. NE was very good at getting me the refund. Their communication via email was ok. The shipping date kep getting pushed by ADDCO 2-3 weeks down the line.

I just talked to Addco and should ship mine by Fri. My communication with NE sucks. I should say no communication. I just feel bad that I told some that this was a good place to buy the front sway bar.

You could have paid Reinhart and NEVER received it.

It is not so much the ten days as it is what is going on with my order. Like it is on back order or not shipped yet. Zack when I order something from you. You give me something that say's it will ship this day and I take you at your word and I know I will get it. But went someone will not answer my e-mails.

I would call Addco directly, not NE. It took a day to get a hold of them, but I kept calling 2-3 times a day. I happened to get a hold of a sales rep that lived in Florida and worked from home and he was able to ship me the product a couple days later. By chance, he had p/n 2196 in his garage in the box. Go figure. Since he was in FL, it got to me like 2 days later. Mine just happened to line up like that.

Yes, it was John. Guess he only had one on hand and my order must have been ahead of yours. He'll get it out ASAP. He was pretty quick in getting mine out, probably just waiting on warehouse in NC to get one in so he can put in order to ship.

Never enough took 4 days to confirm Addco had a front bar - it was being drop shipped. I called because my card was charged, the invoce emailed, but never a tracking / shipped email.
After I called, Addco shipped the bar and I got an email.
It took a couple of weeks from order to received...
If you're in a hurry, find one in stock at Summit etc and pay the extra 50 bucks ;)

I see that a lot of Marauder owners go for the ADDCO sway bars. Please excuse my ignorance on this point, but are the Addco sway bars so far superior to the stock ones?

I'd venture a guess that your KB car has a larger diameter sway bar on the rear, front or both....

Seriously, Addco was just out of rear bars - you think they'd be prepared.

Bob Mathis
10-03-2015, 05:39 AM
Yes you would think they would stay on top of both the front and rear. I was told by John at addco that these sway bars are in great demand because a lot of law enforcement still use the crown vic's. Plus a lot of Marauder people are wanting to do the sway bar changes.

I would have to think panther sway bars are one of their lowest orders. Low orders = production fill ins when time allows..

I would also bet that at some point they could be discontinued as panthers in general get lesser , much like Meg's tips. Might need a minimum order at some point. I'm sure it depends how much set up is required to run any

Debatable.
1964-1972 GM A-body cars have been done for 40+ years and they can't sell enough sway bars for them....panthers might retain an afermarket demand for certain items....it might even evolve!

just an example man, hoping Marauders, and the zillion crown vics and grand monkeys produced 1998 - 2012 WILL keep being modded, creating aftermarket demand

Side note: Pontiac V8 engines ended production in 1978.
Aftermarket aluminum heads were created for race only in the 70's, then Edelbrock made a crappy street version early 90's - 10 years after production ended. Popularity supassed anyones guess!
Today - at least 5 different aftermarket heads are made for that old engine.
They are releasing a new version of the 60's/70's Buick V8 head - aluminum FE Ford heads are still evolving..
Goes to show you never can tell....

Fastblackmerc said to order the rear sway bars... And I had a few adult libations and found the addco for really chap at neverenoughauto and ordered two! Then I found the 1inch lubable brackets and ordered four of them too!

Bob this is all YOUR and fastblackmerc's fault! Hahahahah 3 sway bars, 6 brackets, on one months charge.

The Marauder rear sway bar brackets are not the same as a generic sway bar bracket. Are you sure they will slot into the axle housing?

justbob

If not, then weld a plate on the axle and drill two holes like some of us did years ago.

Or drill and tap the factory bracket to make it greasable.

lifespeed
10-09-2015, 11:16 PM
It is smaller, yes?

Addco should have provided a bushing with the correct OD to fit the stock bracket and ID to fit their bar. Drill and tap the bracket for a zerk fitting, drill the bushing in the same location to allow grease to reach the bar. Of if you're handy with a welder you can modify your axle to accept the universal brackets as Bob mentioned.

They really need to be greasable or they'll drag on your rear suspension movement. And squeak.

1Marauder
10-10-2015, 04:51 PM
I bought the greasable versions. maybe I can drill hole in the bracket and refit the greassable bushing.

Have to wait till the bars come and then I will reach out to you.

BTW LIFESPEED what brand/kind are your 20 inch wheels again???? They are the best looking I've seen and I am ready to shred!

I installed mine 2 weeks ago. After testing, I can feel that the front bar really keeps the front end of the car tracking much truer. I have whipped around a few turns here and there and every time I expect the front end to oversteer and lean to the outside of the turn, but the new sway bar has greatly improved the ability of the nose to sink down and stick to the inside of the turn. Not mind blowing, but definitely worth it imo. Great upgrade. Look forward to doing rear as well.

Nothing better than taking an on ramp at twice (or better) the speed limit. Have Addco front & rear sway bars, and Metco Watt link and upper / lower rear control arms.

I got the front sway bar installed and took car for a short drive. I took some 35 MPH curves at 75 to 80 and it stuck like a dream. The curves where back to back. With the sway bars up graded control arms and watts link the car handles great. The new tires all so. But for my big butt sliding in the seat that was a different story. :)

This is all good. I researched and most found upgrading the rear stuff yields the greater result.
I will be putting my front Addco bar and Sparta watts link on next spring, can't wait to feel the difference. Last upgrades for my suspension.
the Zack & Mac rear control arms wre a huge difference, Addco rear bar a nice difference, new springs and SD Monroes a big difference.
