How does a Ground Fault CB get wired?? White wire from cb base to bus bar, white wire to branch circiut to lower screw of cb, and black wire to branch to upper screw ??

Einstein here undid this GFI last Nov to install reg cb so xmas lites would work in rain. Thought I took good notes!!!!!!!!!

The GF CB should be labelled HOT and NEUTRAL/COMMON.
Hot is always BLACK and Neutral/Common is always WHITE.

It will depend as well if it's a stand alone or first in a feed to control other outlets.

If it isn't feeding other outlets to control them for GFCI, connect it as for any other outlet.

^^^this is true^^^

I learned that two gfci outlets on separate loads and breakers, damn well refuse to share the same neutral....

They can be confusing, but we're gonna need more to the scenario if the markings on the back of the gfci don't do it for you.
