I have seen a few different vehicles done this way, and some look decent. but you are killing the darth vader vibe on these cars once you go flat black and unless you spray it from a gun, you never get good even coverage without the tiger stripes. I almost consider it sacrelige to do this to a marauder, grand national or impala ss because they just look right the way they are. in black anyway. to each their own but I will paint mine before I give it the plasti-dip ghetto makeover. the only product that did not look like primer and had a nice semi gloss look to it that I have seen personally was called hot rod black I forget who makes it but same prep/spray as a regular paint job and looks sweet.

good point though gerry24 my paint is pretty beat on mine but I did my best with a clay bar and a buff and wax for now. the krylon look just hurts too much for me as I have been in paint and body for awhile ha ha.
