BBK makes long tube headers for 1999 to 2004 Cobras. I have an opportunity to buy a set, including the matched x pipe at an attractive price. Looking at the headers and looking at my MM OEM exhaust, it looks as if these headers could fit. It may take a little tweaking here and there. Has anyone had any experience trying to fit Cobra headers on their Marauder?

I've heard some crown Vic guys have out BBK on their 2v before by putying a small dent in one tube to clear something and have to shim motor up like 3/8 to a half inch.

LTs for a Cobra will not fit. I think a few here have had success with BBK but for a Mach 1.

Thanks for the replies. I have it arranged with the seller that I will buy the headers if the will fit. I also worked it out that I will be using his lift when I do the install. Special thanks to MMBlue for his success story on making this install work. The pictures are very helpful. I do have just a very general question related the performance expectation. Assuming I can have the success MMBlue had and make the install work, will this result in a noticeable performance gain. The only other mods I have made include a Martyo tune, Cold Air Intake and a 4.10 gear set.

You will prolly need to have your tune adjusted with long tubes as o2 sensor is further downstream. Talk to marty
