Remember about 6 months to a year ago when Hot Rod printed an image of what a SS Chevelle would look like if based on the new GTO platform?

Well a Aloha Dream Cars is going to build it.
They don't have any images of a finished car, just the original sketches.

They are taking orders, but you had better dig deep into your pockets and everyones around you, because the base model is $85,000 and the 454SS will be $135,000.

I personally think they would make more money by selling a body kit to make your GTO into a HRSS (Chevelle).

Enjoy

Truer words were never spoken! I'd even spend half that & shoehorn something bigger under the hood of my MM (I don't know what - but for that kind of money I'm sure I would find something!).

Did someone say "GT"???? Yes Todd, ofcourse I agree that for 100+K, gimmie a GT instead. It's better looking, gotta be better handling because it's a mid-engine design, and likely faster off the line simply because of the mid-engine design getting better traction than front engine cars do.

I think aerodynamics and reduced wieght will keep it ahead @ the top end too!

Yeah, w/a claimed top end of 200 MPH, I would have to agree w/you.

There has to be a way to get a ride in one of these things!

I would actually be willing to pay someone a couple hundred dollars for a ride in one(a 2005 Ford GT that is), just as long as they garantee atleast several full throttle blasts during that ride.

Here are some new images that I have found on the web of the HRSS.
I still have not been able to find a good finished photo of the car.
But these images give you a good idea of what the finished car will look like.
I personally think it looks better than the "stock" 2004 GTO.

Here are the offical images from the makers website.

I liked the idea of the concept, but it just did not come out very well in real life.
There are large gaps between seams and the front headlights just look tacked on. I don't think it is worth the $100,000 price tag even with the 454 engine.

Just my $.02
