I have 2.5" exhaust kooks headers 25/25 turbine sounds great no complaints at all but missing the icing on the cake which is the backfire (pop) that I hear from mustangs and z28s... I'm truly puzzled upon what to do next. Please Help [emoji29] [emoji29]

You like that? I come from a big block ford FE family, and it sounds like you want Honda car sounds. :flamer:

Backfires and pops are usually signs of something wrong.

Mustang and camaro have shorter exhaust and marauder will not sound like them

I have had several Mustangs and only the ones with straight pipes made that noise (and at night a little bit of flash and flame) and that was from after fire, meaning the exhaust was still burning a little as it left the pipes. You would probably have to ditch all cats, mufflers, switch to wide band O2 sensors and even then I think the exhaust pipes on these cars are too long to make that possible.....unless you side dump the exhaust.

Wish I would have made a video of my last one, it had dual 2 and 1/2 inch exhaust with no mufflers but we put a 2 foot section of 3" pipe after the x-over and tapered it back before it went over the axle, it sounded PERFECT!

My cut outs used to leave a nice set of small flames at night when I would tach out the gears. Just ask Casey. [emoji14]

Surprised the Areo 2525 aren't brappy enough for anyone. Doomies are quite loud and brappy. Many of us are trying to find that deep muscle car sound w/o the brap and pop. Hard to do on this car. I've listened to many members cars over the years and haven't heard one yet that my ear likes enough to put on my car.

Why Jim? Why are you giving my inner child more ideas? Contemplating now. [emoji4]

I never cared for the actual flames, but to tone it down to two small afterburner pops on shift, different story..

I have 22" MagnaFlows out back, and 14" round MagnaFlows off the headers with an H pipe on a 3" exhaust, its fairly quiet until you get on it , it sounds like a small block pushrod motor!

I know he has cams, but his exhaust is the closest I've heard yet to true musclecar.
