Well, the MM went to the shop today. As you know, my car got tapped from behind at a red light. Jack Demmer has it now and has said there was $400.00 worth of damge to the rear facia. They will be replacing my SS Inserts also. While the car is in the shop they will be repainting my hood. It had a couple of scratches since day one. Also, it seemed that someone used my hood as a table and scratched it pretty bad. I am really looking forward to getting it back. While they have it they gave me a Nissan Murano. I asked for a domestic car but they didn't have one at the time. I must say that the Nissan is a nice riding sportute. It has decent power and a lot of amenities. Very comfortable car. Would I buy one? No! I cannot buy a forgein car but I will say that it is very nice. It is a real "hit" at work on the Ford Rouge lot. The only good thing is I get to keep the miles off my MM and my PT.

Sounds just about the same as what I've got, although it's ~$400 Canadian bucks. I'm still wondering whether to eat the cost of the repairs or claim it through the insurance... even though I've got a $500 deductible, the <S>b*tch</S> nice lady who hit me would be liable to pay it since it's her fault. However, I'd lose a 'freebie' with my own insurance company, and next claim might jeopardize my premium, which won't go up with this first claim.

You could make your claim and never need to make another claim. But then again you never know. I know you will make the right decision. I also know that you will probably do it real soon.

Real soon.... hmmm, I guess that's relative. I've got so much on my plate right now, I'm on the verge of losing it. So a bumper repair is going to have to take a back seat (no pun intended) to a lot of other things.

Well, it was a hassle, but you're car is gonna be even better than new when you get it back! I just don't agree with the whole Nissan Murano rental thing, although I guess you had no choice if that was the only thing left. Did they have any Honda or Toyota rental cars available? At least Toyota builds many of their vehicles in IN, and KY, while Honda builds some of them right here in OH.

Is it mostly the black Marauder's that are having paint issues? I don't think we've heard a complaint yet from a Silver or DTR...........

I really do feel funny driving this Nissan even though it is made here in the U.S.A. And yes, I do believe that the black suffered more paint problems than any other color. I hope it is better than new. Thanks for comments.

Guess you won't make it to choir practice with the M/M this Sunday. If you do, park the Nissan over at the Firestone store with all of the other blow-outs :shot: From one Ford employee to another  .

You can say that again. Nothing feels as good as being in your own car!
