I'm doing some cleaning in the garage and found 5 - 1 LB cans of Freon R-12.
I know that this stuff was like liquid gold when they stopped making it years ago.
Anyone got any idea what they are worth now?

Still is
Just did an eBay search of completed items.
Looks like 20-30 bucks per 12oz can

It might be considered hazardous for shipping reasons, better check it out for pricing on shipping

R-12 is only to be sold to someone licensed to handle it legally. sitting on 22 12oz cans of it at work. have had no interest from anyone locally to buy em so far. GLWS

Although not a nerve gas, it will kill you.
Burning Freon will produce phosphene gas, a toxic gas used to kill WWI soldiers on the battlefield.

I'm checking out the shipping problem:

I don't want to try and ship it without proper labeling, packing, etc.

How much would you take to just punch holes in all of them? It's getting cold up north here and I don't feel like relocating yet.

About 10 years ago we were in Aruba. A friend living there had imported a Mercury Mystique and his 134a A/C had crapped out. We went to the auto parts store to buy a recharge kit and they didn't have any 134a... but in 2005 they had a shelves of R12!
Enterprising minds couldn't find a safe way to ship it without raising too many eyebrows, so we returned to the States without any.

You can ship it, ground only, label as ORM-D just like ammo.
