No comparison between the 2. Circle D all the way

I have had a PI for 160,000 miles and 280+ run down the 1/4. So far so good.

I've had my PI for 60+k, numerous dyno pulls, 1/4 & 1/8 runs, still going strong.

I actually picked it up at their factory and got a nice tour to boot!

Circle D , is far superior to precision, as mentioned there is truly no comparison between the two, Circle D is the best.

Circle "D" allthe way, my bro switched out from percision to Circle "D" everything about the trans seem to perfrom better......stall speed, driveability......
Or it could have been the tuner himself ...either way he switchd up and hasn't looked back.

Just a note of caution as to being somewhat conservative with the stall speed. High stall converters can be notoriously irritating to drive depending on how "loose" they are and how high the stall speed.

With a supercharged engine you won't lack for power. Just something to think about and discuss with the converter manufacturer and engine builder. A tenth or two at the dragstrip might not make up for the annoyance factor of a slippery converter.

I have had a 3,500 stall for over 140,000 miles. It's all in the tune. Computers in the right minds are amazing things.

Call the guys at PI and they'll recommend a stall & converter based on your mods and driving style.

Man you are kidding about all in the tune. I went from wanting to sell my car after my PI 3500 was installed and DR sent me an "updated tune" for it to loving it after Zack got the tuning squared away.

No driveability issues with my 3500 stall. Only grip issues arise now lol

No stall in the Rauder, but I do have a 3200 Circle D in my Monte Carlo. I am running a LY6 (6.0) and a 4L85E. I have used many old school stalls behind old school SBC and loved the fun moments and hated driving to town.

This Circle D is great. Pulls from idle if I drive easy, but will flash and let them rip on a moments notice. The tech staff was good to. I have had the converter in since 2011.

then why is my $345 Roadrunner 10" 3500 stall dead on

It won't last though, Circle D was a wise choice :D

As little as I drive my car, I like the $345 price range, but would hate to have to do it twice

7000+ unpamered miles with no extra cooler = fluid still pink and fresh! just how I like it ;)

has not faltered, shuddered, locked up weird, it's dead consistent.

Sorry. Remember, layman. :)

Per Chris at ADTR, the stall speed is 3600 and yes, triple disc.

Excellent choice, right where the stall should be with a big blower!

The first date I gave was my May, which turned into July (Ford Racing engine was ****), which turned into September (new Livernois motor delayed 3 months), which turned into October (transmission delayed 3 months), which turned into December (head work delayed 6 weeks).

Many of the members, who lived through engine builds, have advised I "enjoy the journey". Minus the Vortech blower from ADTR, all the parts are in KC's hands (BRG Racing). I am now enjoying the journey.

So, I will go with 2016. :)

There is no journey to enjoy when you stock pile parts and "extra parts in case" and on a whim tear your car down and dig in. 2-3-4 weeks later, whole new car with minimum down time.

I believe that is referred to as a thrashathon.

I know this is an older thread. I am reviewing new torque converter options. Is Circle D still preferred by the majority over Precision Industries' Stallion TC?

I asked MartyO to select the correct one for my n/a car last summer. He went with the Circle D 3k stall - truly on the money. Along with everything else done to the car, Marauder feels like a big block, high compression, high torque, full size car of the ‘60s, except it handles and rides better.

I just ordered a 10.5" pi tc from marty 3000-3200. I trust his judgement. Hes helped me through alot on my small engine build for my crown vic sport. Also have to thank chris from adtr.net for all his help.

Marty suggest pi tc for what i have. The tune will tell after all its done.
