I'm helping my mother sell her Jeep and wonder if anyone has a bill of sale or sales contract that they've used.
Or, is the it best kept simple with a typed letter/MS WORD document with the seller's name, buyer's name, VIN, mileage, signatures and "Vehicle is sold as is" noted?
Thanks in advance,
Mark

Search internet for auto bill of sale. You can find a generic one or one specific to your state.

+1 with FBM's reply. In South Carolina you have to use a bill of sale that you pickup at the DMV. You can't download this Bill of Sale. Would imagine each state is different.

Just sign and date the title. Take a phone pic of his license if your worried about something. By dating the title he has a limited time to register the car in his name. Make sure to be paid with a bank check.

Ditto on the sign - date - time - mileage - picture of same.
The MVC also wants the plates back. Don't allow the car off of your property with your plates on it.
Make sure the buyer has cash or a bank check. Several members of my club were burned by bad checks from the buyer. What a nightmare to get payment.
