I know, I know....I'm an old fart for remembering the late 60s Speed Racer series, but I attribute my fascination and love of cars partly to growing up while watching the show.

Anyone else remember watching the show?

You have to love pre-"PC" TV.
Speed bumps another racer off the track and KILLS him in a gigantic explosion...... 40 seconds into the show's intro!!!

There was suppose to be a Mach 5 from the movie at the Volo Auto Museum, which was one of the attractions of MV13. Unfortunately, it wasn't. :( Loved the cartoon!

Trixi was actually Speed Racers RICH girlfriend that had the money for Speed to have all of those toys. We named our yellow lab Trixi too. (It's a long story).

I've seen every episode more than once.
I loved Speed Racer. The movie was stupid.

Huge fan.

There was a white tricked out, flared, and large staggered wheeled S2000 around Sacramento Ca that had the big red "M" mock 5 art painted on it. It was cool looking and people took pictures of it, and selfies with it non-stop.

I had the medium silver showroom, 2006 S2000, and I really wanted to make it the racer X....
