Doors won't unlock while car is running

I am not sure if this is a security feature or if something is fubar but when my car is running I can't seem to be able to unlock the doors using the master switch. I have to shut the car off before I can use it. Is that a feature that can be disabled or is something broken?

Mines doesn't do that, you should be able to unlock the doors.
