Hi Marty
Curious what octane you want for your typical tune or mine,I have been running 94 but if 91 is all you require could more could be had in a tune for 94.

Thanks Marty

I would stick with 93 or 94.

I would think you could have more timing with a 94 tune. Not sure if there's a big diff between 93 and 94.

How much timing could you get with a 93 tune over a 91? Would it be noticeable?

for 2 point octane 'advertised' increase at the nozzle, I would not add timing. :shake:
I feel it run cleaner just by the better fuel quality, when true.

The octane # is supposed to be the Minimum it can be, but it could be more. I'm sure Exxon has figured out how to make it 93.000001 octane.

Just curious if the octane was consistent could there be a noticeable difference between 91 and 93 tunes? What about 93 and 94?

Not to speak for Marty nor am I an expert, but I believe a car tuned for 93 but run on 91 may see issues with WOT type runs and very enthusiastic driving..it may stumble like a miss. but a car tuned to 91 but running 93 prolly wouldn't see any difference.

My old centri car was tuned for 93, but the guy who bought it when he got hme only has 91 avail. I gave him all the info to get the tune changed to 91 as he said there was like a miss when running hard.
