    Mufflers

Should we get a Flowmaster 40 series muffler on our Marauder? What advantages does it have and where can we get it?

I put the Flowmaster 40 series on my MM and they really give the car a much better sound. A deeper rumble at slow idle and a bit of a roar when you get into her a bit. At the same time, sound in the passenger compartment had little change. :-)

Take a look at the Ravin 55's also. I have always been a Flowmaster guy but after talking to SerntMac and checking out goravin.com I put the Ravin 55's with Megs tips without resonators yesterday. The car sound great and the tips stick out 1" more so you can see the engraving. Either way you go it will sound better than stock.

Kind of scary, when thinking of the scale. Makes one think that maybe it'd be a good idea to do some introspection and think about what each of us needs to do to build a solid community, analyze what it is we're all honestly looking for by belonging to this community.

I've had my FlowMaster 40s on for quite some time and I absolutely love them.

Personally, I'd be careful about changing the cats on this motor. I've read a lot about how DOHC motors don't fare well when too much back pressure is removed.

Sorry I can't comment on mufflers + non OEM tips. The sound level with just the muffler swap is perfect, I'm afraid it'd be a bit too loud with both. Wonder if anybody has done both?

    Yes....

Not sure which FlowMasters I've put on the car, but replaced the tips (that I'd bought earlier this year) on at the same time.

Much, louder...(yeah, that's it) definitely rumbling sound at 7:00 in the morning when I lumber off to work.

If I can record it on a new mini tape recorder and make a wav file out of it, I'll do it and put it out.
