I just want to say that the Mercury Marauder crowd is all good in my book.
Everytime I see one on the highway/road I usually look over and give and say "nice ride"

Looks like there's been a serious splintering. I never thought it'd be possible for this to happen to a group of owners of a car model that sold no more than 14000 copies over 2 model years. Kind of scary, when thinking of the scale. Makes one think that maybe it'd be a good idea to do some introspection and think about what each of us needs to do to build a solid community, analyze what it is we're all honestly looking for by belonging to this community.
Well, we like nice folks like you too-and you seem the type that would fit in just fine with us with that kind of attitude--so go take a test drive----see for yourself why we have a grin on our faces all the time......fine one on a lot----it's there waiting for you ..good luck.....Tom
Oh yeah--you got questions --we got answers--someone here always has an answer...and they're straight up ones you can count on--- you'll see----so get going--start writing down where to start calling on those dealers---just drive it and then come back here to ask questions--cause the dealer won't know--trust me on this one ,, for sure---.....Tom...

w/everything that's been said, and let me also add that one of the cool things about this board, and about the Merc Marauder is that there are owners of these cars as well as members here who span all ages from 17 yrs old, to 70 yrs old. The interest in this car simply bridges all age barriers.

Picked up a new Lexus in June.
I wanted the Marauder, but I'm only 21 so I chose to buy a car that I could mess around with - turbo wise (2JZ engine)
When I will be looking for a car after I'm 25 or so - the Marauder will be it. I figure the after-market will be stable and I'll have "proven" mods.

I never thought of it in those terms, but you're right! The age span makes the conversations livelier!Originally posted by BillyGman

Sorry to disappoint you, goldark, but none of us here would dare mess with our Marauders! Nope, no sir...Originally posted by goldark

yeah..... we spend all that money for a car - we expect it to be perfect right from the dealer. Wewouldn't want to void our warranty.
oh; and the youngest person on the board is Slowpoke Jr - he is only 6½ months old.
Yeah...I just cringe when I see a Lexus pull up next to me...
