    Foglights - HID bulb upgrade

Want to upgrade your foglights to HID bulbs but don't want the hassle and work of modifying the stock H1 bulb retainer?

Well my H10 - 6K HID bulbs arrived.

The H10 bulbs are almost plug-n-play... almost.

Have to sand / grind / file down a few areas for them to mount just like the factory H1 bulbs.

You will still need to use some silicone to seal the bulbs.

This takes about 10 minutes of work compared to the 1 to 2+ hours spent modifying the H1 bulb retainer.

    H10 / 6K bulb installed

Areas to grind down (they should be obvious), also need to shorten the tab at the upper right.

You're killing me Jim! You are basically putting out every item I want to install in my car. You will be selling a kit complete with ballasts, bulbs and the harness?

1-2 hrs? Took me 10-15 mins to modify the stock H1 housing.

    Nice option though.

Silicone will go around the flange on the bulb and the foglight housing.

Your points are terrific, but if you have an "arrow" in your pic/s to point to where your wording points to it would help those less knowledgeable--ok-I will leave now--

I let mine sit for 24 hrs before putting them in the fog lamp housings. I found that this RTV works the best as it is also very adhesive and when it dries it's pretty strong. Plenty strong enough to hold up fine to me twisting the bulb into the lock position on the fog lamp housing and it was kind of tight as well.

I got my kit from eBay.

I only buy from U.S. sellers.

I may offer an H10 HID conversion kit if I can get a good deal on them.

If you want stuff to match then you need to order all from the same vendor for things.
