Silly question I know, but I want to be 100% clear on this. I will probably do this in two weeks.
I didn't bother trying as I wanted something solid to hold up the motor mount anyways, and the fact i already had it up trying to shimmy it over. Instead of going under the car twice if needed, seemed a lot easier to just remove both at once, set something durable in there, and let it back down. I used a small 4X4 on my floor jack and a big socket. It took less than 5 minutes to put the car on ramps, remove nuts (I used a gun, but totally not needed), lift engine, set socket, and lower.

Drivers side needed zero extra work, (without a manifold in place) but also nothing extra on my Trilogy car with blower inlet removed. The fuel rail cleared fine IIRC, if not, no biggie, to remove as well.

You guys need to remember every engine will sit differently as the motor mounts are slotted. (Hint hint for you header rubbing steering shaft guys) My engine was close to centered, this MM's engine was all the way to the right off the slots and had never been touched since new.

You will not believe the difference this makes on the passenger side! I bet money you could literally toss the cover from the front of the car and it will fall into place in less than two attempts...

Where's a good strong point to lift the engine at? 2 x 4 under oil pan?

It's wet outside and I'm too lazy to jack up and look under the car.
