It’s a 286k mile car that’s been taken care of but needs some TLC. It’s pretty much stock and I’ll probably do a few things to it. I’ve replaced blown exhaust collector gaskets and found the front upper control arms need bushings and ball joints.
Are there wiring diagrams for these anywhere or does anyone recommend a place to get them? Trying to troubleshoot a P0708 code as well as fix the overhead compass and front passenger window.
eBay has factory shop manuals for Crown Vic, Marauder specific info is a supplement inside

Nice!
Those '79 Notchbacks are very light cars!
My Dad bought a silver '79 Turbo Notch 4 speed (SROD) that I eventually got to drive when I went to college.
It was the old school 'draw thru' 2bbl carb turbo 2.3L, non-intercooled.
I dropped the restrictive Cat with a 'Test Pipe' (remember when they sold those!?) and added water/alcohol injection directly into the carb.
It wasn't bad performance for a late 70's/early 80s car, but it would vapor lock on hot days because the carb sat directly above the turbo.
I sold it when I bought my '85 GT 5.0.
Ford went to the EFI 2.3L Turbo in '83 IIRC.
I've got two 4eyed Mustangs now, see my signature.

Yeah, the 79’s were slightly odd (inside door handles were down low, rear brake line ran thru the car). They had the best looking front end and taillights next to the 85/86 cars in my opinion. I got that car in college and it was a 200 6cylinder/automatic car and I did the efi 2.3t/5speed/ 4.10 8.8 swap. Straight 3” exhaust out the back with a resonator wasn’t terrible noise wise. There was tons of room in the engine bay. This is me drilling out a broken valve cover bolt
