Metco MPT0001 pulley installer/remover. Almost used once.

Been unsuccessfully chasing a way to remove the Billetflow 5 bolt hub for weeks now. I finally bought the Metco MPT0001 and it failed as well. After setting it up and with the assistance of Carfixer it took both of us all the strength we could muster and the only achievement was crushing the ribbed pulley with the pulling force of the tool. The hub will not move. The only choice is to buy a BF pulley and sell the one that came with the Metco blower drive kit.

Anyway - the kit is almost used. It's been in my possession for one day and it can be yours for $120 shipped to the 48. You'll save $30.

Tried that first actually. The pulley hub, although completely even with the stub end of the shaft - is too close to the blower snout. It was impossible to get the little U shaped piece in there. The space needed is almost double what I have. That's why this fiasco has taken 5 weeks and gotten NO results. I figured I'd try with the ribbed pulley in place and it crushed the ribs together. We stopped before the inevitable happened.

At this point it's easier to sell the tool at a loss and buy the proper pulley. At more loss. It pisses me off because so far I have bought everything for this project from Metco and shelved it.

Now I have to buy it all again.

    ..........anyway. Tool is for sale.

It was opened and there was ONE unsuccessful usage attempt.

Not sure if it's returnable. After all the crap I've been through to this point it's not even worth the trouble.
