    Range Industries brake caliper brackets?

    Hello all

Wondering if anyone has used these brackets to relocate the OEM front calipers to go over Mustang 14” rotors, and if so do they fit inside stock MM wheels? When I tried a search I saw some older threads mentioning brackets that were being made and sold by a member here, but I didn’t see any specifics on those.

Member Lji_372 makes the brackets for big brakes and list of parts to buy. It's proven by many members. He even offers custom engraved calipers. Read this post

I actually like this setup. You keep the stock Marauder Caliper and pads. Looks like you just have to open up the center of the Mustang rotor, or can either buy their rotors. $280 for the brackets and rotors, so that puts the rotors at $80 each which isn't too bad considering Rock Auto has them for about $55. Saves you from having to open up the center if you don't have the ability to do that.

I wonder what the advantage to using the bigger rotors is if the pads and calipers would be retained. I guess heat fade as they are a bigger sink. Might be worth it for rally driving or the like. Though if they are larger rotors would there be more rusty unswept parts of the rotors?

You are correct. You need bigger calipers & pads.

I suggest TCE Big Brake kit. It's expensive but the quality / stopping power is second to none. Nothing will beat the Wilwood 6 piston caliper. My Marauder will stop on a dime and loosen the fillings in your back teeth.

I think the Range kit is aimed more at the people who are using the Panther front suspension as a conversion for a 60s/70s F-100, who want the visual of big brakes behind big wheels. I was just curious more than anything if anyone here had tried them.

    thanks,
