    Marauder owners 100k+ Miles

Hey first post here, just picked up my 2004 300B Silver Birch Marauder the other day. Whats the best oil to put in this beast, the dealership didnt have any record of what the previous owner was putting in it but it was changed literally every 2k miles. I was going to use 5w-20 like it says in the manual but im sure theres some better stuff out there

There are tons of best oil threads on the site.

Motorcraft or any Brand Name full synthetic 5W-20 will work.

The most important part is to always use a Motorcraft brand oil filter.

There is no such thing as "the best oil". Use a name brand oil of the correct viscosity and you'll be fine. 5W-20 and 5W-30 both work.

Also, changing the oil too often can be almost as bad as not changing it enough. Studies have shown that too-frequent changes don't allow the AW additives to build up the protection layer they need to be effective.
