    foglights?

    not sure if this should go here or in the tech are move as desired if needed. I know people have put HID kits into the foglights before but has anybody ever changed out the foglight asy for a differant foglight assy ie hella etc any other styles that would fit I dont like to mod stock peices to the point of not being able to return them back to stock afterwards. thanks merry easter or happy holidays or something like that.

    If you take a look at the mounting of the stock foglights it's apparent that it wouldn't be an easy mod to install aftermarket assemblies. But IF you have enough time and money anything is possible.

    ya I looked and thats why I am asking have taken measurements and looked for something close on line cant really find anythin so far. why couldnt they have made it a normal size lol

    I don't think it's the size... it's how they are mounted.

    why it there 2 types of marauder fog's, clear and fogged?

    Only one type... clear. Some may looked "fogged" because of sandblasting.

    I always wanted to install h1 hid fog light the mount is very different for the Hid?
    there both h1 but h1 hid look different?

    Use the search function.... there are at least 2 threads on using H1 HID's in the foglights.

    holy smoke, mine feel like that bumpy fogged glass, lookes like it came like that from factory cuz it's fogged so evenly, no way rocks did that. their not cracked. must be really cheap glass they use.

    Many times the fog is on the inside. I had 3 headlights and 2 foglights replaced on my Marauder when it was still under warranty. I need to get some new bulbs for my fogs and reaim them.

    I have used SilverStar H1s in my fogs very effectively, but we actually have fog here. They work great in snow too. I've never tried it but others here have removed the defuser and used the fog as a driving light after reaiming it. I just changed to the UltraStars on my DD and the highbeams are VERY bright compared to OEM and the original SilverStars. I guess I'll find out tonight how well they cut through snow.
