    2.3 Whipple vs m122 GT500 blower

Okay so I'm curious which blower would be the best to go with. a 2.3 Whipple what I'm kind of looking at or the m122 GT500 blower. I've got built engine in my car and transmission so no worries there I'm going to be running 60 pound injectors with an Aeromotive 340 fuel pump with a boost a pump. Horsepower I would like to see 550-600 to the wheels without having to deal with the heat soak. I live in Texas so it's pretty warm. I just sold my Trilogy supercharger kit so with that money I'm going to go and buy all the eaton swap specific parts. and then from there I know with the GT500 blower I have to get the adapter plate from Cobra engineer. and make modifications to the blower for the fuel rail to fit and all that. if I went that route. if I go with the 2.3 Whipple I'll have to move my battery to the driver side no big deal I've done several Eaton swaps. Just curious which one would net the most horsepower and run the coolest.

Off topic but hey, another Texan Marauder! If you are in the DFW area we ought to try to get a few of us together one day.

I would advise you to not use a BAP with a high draw pump.
You cannot compare a Whipple to a M122. They are apples and oranges so the answer would be Whipple.
Whipple vs GT500 TVS is a whole other conversation as the TVS will yield lower IAT's and make the same power.

    2.3 Whipple vs m122 GT500 blower

With your target HP I would personally run a 2.9 in favor of the 2.3. You could hit your target with ease with plenty more to be had later. Run dual pumps and don’t look back.

As for heat soak, killer chiller.

    Per Kill Chiller FAQ;
"You will see about an average of 5-7 degrees increase in the in cab temps under optimum conditions...".

To run it at a drag strip will you need to capture the condensation?

I have a gt500 blower on mine and had a M112. The batter relocation was easy with the m112. However when I switched to the M122 the power increase was huge. I really don't see hitting 600. I have a BAP and an aeromotive 340 and I'm seeing 525.
I cannot comment on the Whipple but if you found a tvs from a newer gt500 it would be a closer comparison.

That seems like a pretty good hp number for your setup.

It was uncorrected so it's fluffed up a little but it pulls hard. I've got the cobra engineering plate and so far I'm very glad I went this route.

    Not bad. I saw 520rwhp with a ported M112 on MS109.
Now have a ported M122 which will be breaking 600rwhp,
BUT, the final goal is the 5.8 GT500 TVS, which kicks a$$!
The VMP Gen 3 2650 TVS would be even better!

So if I go with a 2.3 Whipple and stick with a single fuel pump setup like I have now with 60 pound injectors I could probably be in lower 500hp on the safe tune. from what I gather so far from everybody's comments if I wanted a more aggressive hp# I would need to do a dual fuel pump setup and possibly a 2.9.

To be honest I was mainly looking for an upgrade from the trilogy. I had as I previously stated before in other threads. it ran excellent in really cold weather, but on 80 degree plus days not so much. I figured with a 2.3 Whipple would be more consistent power.
