    LS Crown Vic update

So a lot has/is changing. People make me offers on parts that I can't seem to refuse. Sold the longblock minus intake, sold the PTC torque converter, sold the single precision, and crossover.

Putting together another 5.3 with the newer gen 4 rods (still stock), better heads (flow 30 more cfm than the old ones, still stock GM), .660 dual springs, hardened pushrods, LS7 lifters, and a custom cam (.561/.561 218/218 on a 112 with 1.5*advance).

This motor should make between 100 and 150 more peak WHP than the last one, and will make a decent amount more down low below peak HP. I'll be getting yank triple disk converter too so I can lock it WOT if I want to.

    As for the turbo setup......

I'm having twins! They're 61mm compressors, and 62mm turbines. GT35 (ebay specials). A friend is gonna help me with the hotside. I can build transmissions and engines, but don't know how to weld yet. LOL.

I'm gonna get a 65 mustang radiator off eBay, it's a lot less wide, but thicker. I'll run the hot sides along the side of it and turn the downpipes straight down and out so they will both exit throigh the back of the front number. Instead of just one downpipe out the bumper like I had, I'll have one on each side. For ease, I'll either dump the wastegates straight down, but part of me wants to put em straight up through the hood. I think it would look so cool shooting flames up through the hood when I was wide open making a pass.

Sounds like a mean setup, exiting the downpipes out of the front bumper makes this a lot easier the dealing with routing around that big azz K member and out the back.

I think those are cool, but I don't see myself ever putting one one my car. Although it does have a chevy motor and trans, the car is a ford. I believe it would be a bigger slap in the face to ford if I put a chevy logo in place of the ford. Not to mention, a lot of the big tire bracket racers do that around here (put a chevy emblem on a mustang) and they think it's really clever. I would never want to be grouped in with that crowd. lol

Not to mention pulling a trans, running fuel and cooler lines from the back, it just makes life way easier. and turbos with a conservative cam REALLY quiet it down a lot. I honestly believe the open downpipe was quieter than the dumps I had in the old nitrous 2V setup.
