Is there an alternate way to hook these up so they do not illuminate when the brake is applied? I'd be tempted to catch the front turn signal wires at the body harness. I am seriously considering them.

I have only seen one set and they illuminate with brakes. That was why I asked.

    That would drive me crazy
Wiring them to the front signals would be foolproof so they would only be signals. You can grab the front signal feed in the dash, I can look up wire colors and locations Monday at work.

You also can see a PDF at the Muth website:

    Tell me about it
Now that I'm selling the Marauder I have no use for them so someone is going to get a sweet deal, and would you believe that with all the toys the SHO has it doesn't have signal mirrors either

Just saw this post. I was the first one to have the Muth signal mirrors put in. I have them on both my 2003 and 2004. Yes, the way they were wired they did work with the brake lights. They still work with each individual turn signal. I got use to them working with the brake lights. More brake light for those behind me. The problem is the sockets or pockets that these fit in are very delicate. The break easy. The shop that did mine broke one on my 2004 and had to order the mirror kit from Ford. Needless to say they lost their butt on installing mine and told me they would never do another.

There is a "feel" when locking the mirror glass onto the motor probably more so with these since they are frameless just have to be extra careful, but it's worth it ...they sure do look good.
