    DRAG RADIALS ON FACTORY RIMS

Is anyone here running drag radials on factory rims "NOT" widened?

If so what size and brand?

    How do you like them?

I don't think anyone makes a drag radial to fit a 18 x 8 rim. 305_45_18 too wide to put on stock wheel. DR do not make good daily tires.. wear super fast, are crap in wet, do not hold cornering. Fine to jaunt to the track and run some, best to have two sets of rears imo.

I didn't think so , I haven't really looked. Was going to get an extra set of rims and probably have them widened eventual and my plans were to just use them for the track. Just seeing if any one had found a set that would work. I'll probably look at Summit/Jegs and do some research on sizes.

You could go to a smaller rear wheel for more selection of drag radials, Bart makes light wheels

Do you run these on stock marauder wheels? Interesting I have used m&h before and no complaints at all

Except it says (Rim Size: 10.0"), you would have to widen a marauder wheel to get to that size, so why not a 305/45 ant that point? Asking for a friend......

mostly true, but my ET Street S/S felt just like street radials in corners. no worse in wet than street tires - they all spin under throttle. the wearing out part - YES! maybe 6,000 miles and no real burn outs - because they hooked so well. I'm running Continentals now, the drag radials are so low on tread, not street safe. I'll use them off at the track some day.

Plus those are just over an inch shorter than stock. Quicker off the line but you’ll have to change your revolutions per mile to get the trans to shift right, and still look dumb.

28" tire height in the rear looks dumb??? You've obviously never seen them. It looks exactly the same as the Nitto 555 295/45-18s that a lot of people are running. Whatev, just trying to help

Widen yours! I just happen to call Weldcraft and it $235 per wheel to widen 1.5"
You "feel" the difference because you want to "feel" the difference. Since you just spent money on the upgrade you "have" to feel the difference

I'm looking to eliminate the double pump process I have to follow right now to get the pedal hard
