I can make a faster, cheaper BBC than I can a BBF.

But if I did a BBF and twins, would that still be a Marauder?

    YES! Go for it Marty!!!

    BBF that is!

If I had any modding money, Jon Kaase would already have a check from me for a 521 BOSS making only 770 HP....N/A

and those gorgeous BOSS valve covers happen to be narrower than our 4.6 modular V8s...heh heh heh...

Oh so sweet!...and he is in 'your neck of the woods'!

BBF. NO problem. When I see a car of any year, make, model with a different companies engine, I shake my head in disgust and walk away. Trannies, rear ends, thats fine, but NOT the engine, that is just wrong.

You see this commonly in the 20's thru 40's Fords, never could understand why? Again, LAME.

i say keep the mod motor, even tho it could not be taken to the level and relabilty of a BBC or BBF,thats what makes your car unique marty.
i bet lots of the Chevy boys are not runnng LT1's.

A BBF or be the first 5.4 mod motor. It is a race car Marty! Sorry for being partial to the Blue Oval! I would suggest an FE but you know what that stands for. 460 based would be the way to go.

    Cheaper building a BBC?....sure!

But how much $$$ did you put your mod motor vs. a built, bulletproof BBF?

    Faster using a BBC?.....NOT!

    ....and certainly not very original.*

Making a Mod engine run as fast as you have in a 2 ton four door sedan is the most original concept.

Stuffing an old school, BIG inch BBF (BOSS, FE or 385 series) into a Marauder is still very cool!

Shoving a BBC in a Marauder is.......just WRONG!

    *I'm so friggin' tired of seeing;
Cobra kits with a Chevy 350...
    Mustangs with LS engines...,
Deuce Coupes with the ubiquitous SBC...
