... I actually just bought one, yet to put it on.

That's pretty clearly not the problem to me... I'll make a video showing it trying to run

Your crank sensor may have a metal buildup on the tip, causing this. Pull it and look.

    both of you:

I did pull and replace the crank sensor

the old one looked like it was ever so lightly touching the tone ring.

new sensor installed... same thing. still not running correct

    Arrow Stop it already.

Stop wasting your time and money. Any trustworthy, reputable Ford techs in the area?

    My guesses:

1.Jumped timing chain - you said you were heading to the exit, could have jumped during deceleration.
2.bad coil pack/packs -I had on an MGM and it go 20-30 mins, then stall. like clockwork. But it would restart and run smoothly.

I live in the SF bay area, tons of shops and dealers.... also crazy expensive. worked in a shop for years myself, but injuries have me working at 10% the speed I used to (and I now have a business that keeps me busy)

I'm really hoping it didnt jump the timing chain.... I know I had the infamous startup rattle, but it always went away within a second.

downshifting and blipping the gas is something I may have done... been too long to remember if I did that.

best way to check the timing chain short of removing all the accessories front cover and both valve covers?

I put a full set of new MSDs on ~1000miles before this happened.
their cheap line of coils, but still a full set.

I'm starting to wonder if anyone read the first post.....

I'm not going to throw parts at it.
I already have a full set of new coils, the problem is not coils. I'm experienced enough to be 100% its something else. Sure the coils/plugs might have a fault, but with low miles on new cops/plugs but enough miles to be sure they are installed properly and working well.

I'd look at the wiring harness next.
