Understanding how my MM may be tuned

My MM came with an excalibrator 2. Probably a pretty old tuner from what I can tell. PO wrote a couple of programs in the manual. Any way I can understand what was changed with these. The car shifts very firmly so I assumed the shifts where changed, but I honestly dont fully understand what all a tuner can change. Any input would be appreciated.

You have 410 gears if you did not already know that. Like you said the tune changes shift points and accommodates for the gears and other people might chime in on other stuff too.

Do you know the name of the person who previously owned your car?

I do but I purchased the car through a consigner and the PO is not inclined to communicate for some reason.

    Those are 2 separate tunes
    1 is for stock gears
    2 is for 410 gears

Camelgrundle says you have 410 gears, he must know the car????

That tuner and tune has added timing, raised rev limiter, maximum governed speed limit lifted(possibly)
You can advance or raise timing, change idle speed and do quite a bit honestly
    Change shift firmness etc

The reason why you have a 410 tune is in case you go with 410 gears in the future, If you don't know much about the xcal2, just plug it in and browse

obviously you have tunes for premium gas with 3.55 rear gears and 4.10 rear gears. Do you know which are in the car? The shift pressure may have been increased but I'm not sure what the xcal 2 can do vs an xcal4 which allows shift pressure changes.

X2 you change shift firmness by percentage

There's already some added with the tune, and you can alter it with the tuner

DTR and silver have x2 boxes, I don't own a x4 box so I cannot compare the two

The reason I asked is it would have let me look at whether we did the tunes.

There is no way for anyone to look beyond the names of the tunes to know anything about them other than guessing.

If your unsure of the gears in your car just load both tunes and check your speedo against a GPS.
