    Question Marauder Weight....How Much?

Had the opportunity to weigh my marauder today at the local scrap (recycle) dealer...He felt the scales were within 10 lbs plus or minus....
with a full tank of gasoline she weighed in at 4,260 lbs..
Lets see....19 gallons of gas weighs 190.50 lbs...
so that get's her down to 4,069.50...
although it's tough to run with an empty tank...
and probably another 30 lbs of "stuff" in the trunk...
anyway...I tought someone might find this interesting
    Everyone be careful out there...architect

Thanks, this is something I wondered about, specially after being on the track at Sebring with those much lighter Mustangs, some who had about the same engine.

In Rider 90's 1st video, Wesman's MM weighed 4280. I wonder what added 20lbs to his?
    (#6178 in black per FPIC)
Call 1-800-FORD-788 and press "1". Have the last 6 of your VIN handy. You will get the numbers for FREE. You'll pay $$$ for the certificate.

MM traded in 8/9/13 @ 128909 miles. It was fun for almost 8 years. I met airmercpun on 1/17/14. He was the new owner of my former ride. -Now gone.

Update: back in the game with a late build 03 GMGS with some MM add ons like Escape audiophile radio w/Sirius sat radio, rear sway bar, catback exhaust, and header panel.

    Rest In Peace:

    Paula Babineau 1/9/67-8/2/11

See my garage file for part numbers and whatnot.

IMHO, this site- the members that I chat with- and the ones that I now Hang with- are like my 2nd family. There is such an ongoing welcome feeling here that even members who don't or no longer own the MM can feel.

4260 with a full tank of gas? Doesn't that seem a little light? I thought they were heavier. But that is good news!!

Doesn't Marty's car weight like 4600 cause of the dynamat and roll cage?

I still think these cars do pretty well considering their weight.

    Canadian air

More likely: push bar, skid plates, tranny cooler, camera, Kooks, hitch

    Less likely: QA1's, wheels, tires

There are a lot of little things that change our cars weight. Mine is probably on the porky side with the Trilogy and hitch.

Why are the MM's so much heavier? They have the aluminum block, lighter hydro formed frame and other aluminum components?

Larger tires on the ground and bigger egos behind the wheel. And maybe a couple of other minor things. Dennis
