Gates Serpentine Belt K060923HD too small, K060935RB fits!

Would the K060923HD be ok to use?

On this website it shows a Dayco #DY5060923 which we know is made by Gates, equivalent being #K5060923.

Now, when I searched the Gates website, it shows #K506926.

The difference that I can gather is the length is different by 0.200". I don't think that this will be an issue, is it?

If both belts can be used, I'd like to try the Gates Fleetrunner which is #K060923HD. These are supposed to last 3x as long as the ordinary belts.

    What's your opinion or experience?

Gates is always good. Dayco isn't the same. The dayco is not 'micro-v'. I have held both side by side. Should be OK if not spinning a SC pulley.

I'd like to try the fleet runner, too. Let us know the cost difference and where to get.

BTW, the NAPA gates belt IS a micro-v.

I am currently using a kelly-springfield belt sold as duralast at auto-zone. (all I could find locally )

1/5 of an inch shouldn't make much difference, esp with no SC pulley to slip.

The nearest Fleetrunner is .5 too long for my application.

Thanks Rich, I didn't know that the Dayco was that different.

From what I've found, these are the Gates Fleetrunner equivalents...

    AC Delco K060923HD
    Carquest K060923HD
    NAPA 25-060923HD

The ribs on the dayco are rounded.

    The $64,000 question is:

    ARE THEY GREEN?!

My current belt is slipping so bad that all of the numbers are worn off. I should replace the tensioner while I'm at it.

Any good suggestions for a quality tensioner?

Procharger calls for a 1073 and the nearest fleet runner is 1080.

I get it, you like the green color.

I was referring to the possibility that the green is only used on the fleetrunner and the equivalents are not the same due to lack of color? For me to get the real deal, I need to go to a commercial truck parts supplier. Can they be purchased online anywhere?

Sorry. Never looked. I meant to ask Zack how much the tensioner would likely swing for that little bit of length, but have forgotten to.

I'd imagine all you'd need is the HD at the end of the number. Although, as we've seen with the Dayco equivalent, they aren't necessarily equivalent. Dunno what to tell ya.

I can't remember his name right now, but the guy with Paxton 1 and the stroker who used to have the 18" Budnick's - anyways, he mentioned gates industrial green belts in a post a while back (which I can't seem to find right now, either) and liked them.
