    Xcal Upgrade ?

    I have a xcal2 that holds my factory tune, my car was dyno tuned about 10 years ago and pulled 488 rwhp 494 rwtq. Is it worth upgrading to a newer xcal unit now days and getting a new dyno tune? Only major mods since then was fuel. Dual aeromotive 340 pumps, dual fpdm's, upgraded wiring and the bigger kenne bell boost a pump. Also added a new Roush S/C tensioner and metco tensioner pulley to make sure the proper tension is applied at all times. I have a ported trilogy on a 10:1 aluminator long block.

    I would leave it alone. Just take the car as it sits and put it on a dyno jet and see if the air fuel ratio is in check all the way to redline.

    If you are not able to adjust with the x2 and the boost a pump to get the car in check, then maybe a new tuner and a dyno session with marty on the phone to remote tune it.

    If the car is fine, i dont see you getting more power with the new tuner. Or are you looking for more features?

    Definitely thought about a Whipple but honestly the car just sits in the garage for 6-8 months a year no need to really add it just for the car to sit. I've sunk enough money in this machine lol. Just making sure I wasn't leaving a few ponies on the table.

    The only issue would be if your xcal has issues, I don't think the xcal2 is supported anymore by sct.
