You "feel" the difference because you want to "feel" the difference. Since you just spent money on the upgrade you "have" to feel the difference

I'm looking to eliminate the double pump process I have to follow right now to get the pedal hard

Why use a modified FPDM on a dual setup?

You don't need modified FPDM's on a dual setup.
I've run dual FPDM's with stock parts for years without a single issue

A single "modified" FPDM is typically used to run 2 fuel pumps. If you run 1 FPDM per fuel pump, stock is good, as Musclemerc stated.
You "feel" the difference because you want to "feel" the difference. Since you just spent money on the upgrade you "have" to feel the difference
