Rolled the black out from 1.5 year hibernation. Exchanged tired (1.6 year) bettery for brand new battery at Costco. Started and fired immediately and warmed car for 25 min. Then gently and slowly rolled car around neighborhood for 20 min. Never exceeded 24 mph (had a few faster starts and stops) and never strayed more than a few blocks from house. Arriving home I let car idle, nose inclined up in driveway w rear tires in bottom of gutter to maximize angle, and revved to clear any moisture from tailpipes.

As soon as I pulled the black beast back into garage and got her 1/2 way under cover, not one but three (3) Sherrifs blew buy my house and parked 4 houses up near corner of street.

Guess one of the neighbors thought the black car was too loud, or too sinister, or badazzed, or something. I swear I didn't do anything untoward or illegal in my own neighborhood.

So the day before thanksgiving I was going to drive the car to work since it had been a few weeks since I last drove it. Was running late to work that morning and marauder was iced over but my Lightning wasn't so took it instead. I tossed the extra keys in my back pack and went to work. When I came home I left my back pack in the truck. They broke into my truck that night and found the extra set of keys so they got lucky. Didn't take anything else from my truck just emptied the console and glove box and tossed it all over the truck. Now nothing is ever left in my cars cause of this. The other set of keys wasn't recovered so while its in the shop they will need to replace the tumbler and rekey the doors. Patiently waiting to get the car back. Sucks not having it around I miss driving it.

Lightbulb Marauder and Local Ford Dealer

Made appointment at local Ford dealer here in Jax, FL to have my sticky hood latch repaired - in and out within an our, priced right and hood now opens with authority! Just cleaning and lube.

Running errands tonight and 'Check Engine' lamp comes on, deteriorated idle quality immediately noticed - engine doesn't sound as well under load either. Steady idle with no stalling. Last week, Marauder began surging at idle when in gear - thinking they're related? Back to the dealer, hopefully tomorrow.
