Remote Oil Filter

First, Sorry I missed the "chat" session yesterday. Anything interesting discussed?

Now for the topic. I changed oil a few days back and to say the position of the oil filter "sucks" would be an understatement. Has anyone considered, researched, or installed a remote oil filter? What would be the best place to mount it? (Options that won't interfer with the SC I am waiting for Dennis to build/offer.)

We have relocated the oil filter to the lower bumper cover in the Mark VIII's. We have the same engine and crappy location too.

Works quite well. We have done the twin filter as well.

A nice by product is slightly more oil volume and very slightly cooler oil temps with the twin set-up.

When using twin oil filters what size filter is used? Stock or other?

Ill dig up the pics, there on one of my back up cd's.

We use Purolator Pure 1 Filters in the crossover size for the Fram PH8A's.
