    Ridetech Coilovers

I've been working through options on lowering the front of the land barge. On my previous marauder, I had Eibach lowering springs and then cut OEM coils. Was not a big fan of the Eibachs, perhaps because they were paired with OEM shocks. Actually didn't mind the cut OEM springs with Monroe heavy duty shocks.

From research, I found the Ridetech coilover shock/springs. Only found threads where CWright and Motown have them. Does anyone else have experience with them? How much do they lower a stock ride height marauder? Did you go with the RQ or HQ series?

Also, does anyone have experience with both cut OEM springs and these?

Car is primarily weekend driver with mix of city driving and relatively long drives/cruises; sometimes functions as a weekday car when I miss driving it. No roadtrack or strip use.

eibachs are discontinued any way.and they don't ride well with oem shocks. i have cut coils and oem, willnbe going ridetech hq . i have NIB eibachs as well, but not for sale at this time. ridetechs are adjustable height so can go little to alot. would recommend SPC camber bolts when lowering

Thanks. I've had eibachs and would not do them again in any event.

Already have the SPC camber bolts sitting in a box and ready to go in when the time comes.

The cam bolts are recommended if lowered, regardless of method. Got mine from Tire Rack while on sale. Around $40 shipped.

    .
I have the HQ coilovers. Lowering the front end causes problems loading on the trailer and over some speed bumps. I don't like the idea of damaging the front bumper. The driving experience has changed dramatically and now I am challenging turns on Pennsylvania highways.

Is there any improvement with the adjustability settings to help weight transfer and get a better 60ft? Or is it a waste on a 4500LB car?

    Thank you. This is helpful.

How do you find the ride quality?

I can tell you after installing four sets on different Marauders once adjusted properly with the correct spring rate (700lb) this is by far the best option available for the Marauder.

The ride quality is a little tricky. I have qa1 rear shock (single adjustable) and ridetech HQ coil overs up front. The front tires are a little cupped due to prior alignment issues. To make a long story short, I am still hunting for the sweet spot. From a drag racing point of view I think the car will launch better at stock ride height because it's easier to shift the weight to the rear tires.

I will tell you in the spring how it affects 60ft times, but I do like the way it handles in the corners.

After dealing with blown-out KYBs on my cut coils within 5k miles, I am seriously considering the RideTechs for my front. Has anyone done just the front, and not the full monty? How do you like it?
