Twin screw Kenny Bell supercharger for you guys.

    Hey guys,
I was looking for a twin screw super for my car, especially since 5.0 just did a big article on how much better they are than the roots chargers, and I was thinking that these would be the answer to your guys' torque problems. You could run the Cobra twin screw setup, and just move your battery to the back, kind of like kenny brown did with the Marauder S. Unfortunately they dont make a twin screw for a mustang GT, so I am going to see about adapting a 4.6 truck twin screw to my car, I am sure it will work since the engines are basically the same.
Just a thought, and even though I have a 2 valve, I am always thinking about you 4 valve guys, youre my big brothers after all. Gotta look out for the family.
    Take it easy guys

If you look at Kenny's Pictures. he did not move the battery, just the Anti-Freeze resevoir.

But just the same, it would be nice alternative, if it can fit under the hood.

Johnny Lightning in Eastern PA specializes in Kenne Bell superchargers and would probably love to do a Marauder project....

right now he's third fastest lightning in the tuner business following Jim at JDM and Sal at PSP who use funny juice.... makes you wonder! all of them were in the 10.5xx second club as of close of last racing season!

I sent an e-mail to KenneBell asking if there were any plans in the works to make/market an S/C for the MM. Also when it might be available. Will post the response if/when I get one.

thats great. but are our engines capable of handling it without a major blow out? most engine with s/c are cast iron and modified internal parts.

In what I've read about the Lincoln Aviator, the engine seems to be the same as the ours. If so, and KBell is making an S/C for the Aviator it should be a stretch to have the setup work in the MM.

We'll know for sure when the response comes back.

Wow, Bad news from Kenny Bell. Looks like a dead end.

    Response I got was:

"We haven't looked at it. It will depend on demand. We can email you if and
when we start development. Thanks KB."

That doesn't sound like real bad news to me GZ, sounds like more a "not yet, why?" I'd say the word "demand" figures here, how many calls will it take for them to take a peek under an MM hood?

Anyone esle considering S/C should drop them a note, whether you favor a twin screw design or not. 25-30 e-mails with questions may get them to pull one into the garage for measurements.

OTOH, word is that Dennis Reinhart has a MM/Vortex project underway, and he's also troubleshooting a cold air package for us MM owners that wish to reamin N/A. A while back, he projected a ball-park figure in the 8K range, but that's a real long "while ago." Guess we'll just have to be patient, let the Alchemist practice their trade, eh?

You may be right Sarge, maybe I'm being too pessimistic. On the other hand, considering the number of MM's sold, is it possible for us to reach a "reasonable" demand level?

KB created the kit for the Aviator, a vehicle that has been on sale - what - maybe 2 months because they are anticipating demand. (Though it is probably a pretty good bet, FOMOCO has sold more Aviators over the last two months than MM's since last May) With the MM it is up to us to prove it.

The demand number may also be a factor in other aftermarket items. As you mentioned, DR working on an S/C solution. Well, as a businessman he'll need to recover his inventment which will mean more cost and less potential buyers. IMHO $8K is a lot for an S/C (though not sure what this number includes) but this may be the number Dennis needs.

Law of Supply and Demand - Sometimes love it, sometimes hate it.
