To reiterate, I'm not including front plate brackets, and wasn't planning on including the trunk packs since so many of us have gone ahead and added them anyway (and I suspect several were installed prior to purchase at/by dealerships).
BTW -- original options on my MM were heated seats, 6 CD changer, and the trunk organizer. Front plate bracket is mandatory in Virginia and was listed as a "no charge" option.

Trunk organizers and front plate brackets were options shown on an original window sticker. So was California Emissions.

    It is your call.

Call 1-800-FORD-788 and press "1". Have the last 6 of your VIN handy. You will get the numbers for FREE. You'll pay $$$ for the certificate.

MM traded in 8/9/13 @ 128909 miles. It was fun for almost 8 years. I met airmercpun on 1/17/14. He was the new owner of my former ride. -Now gone.

Update: back in the game with a late build 03 GMGS with some MM add ons like Escape audiophile radio w/Sirius sat radio, rear sway bar, catback exhaust, and header panel.

    Rest In Peace:

See my garage file for part numbers and whatnot.

IMHO, this site- the members that I chat with- and the ones that I now Hang with- are like my 2nd family. There is such an ongoing welcome feeling here that even members who don't or no longer own the MM can feel.

I'll have to think about it. And what is the difference between a car with CA emissions and one without? Seems kind of like a BS option.

I'm wondering, specifically, what the "less BS" is. As far as I know, all the parts are the same, Cali emissions or not. So is it a tune issue?

I wouldn't worry to much about all the extra stuff for your chart a.d.a.m.. The moonroof should be reflected in the incomplete vin code. The rest of it, not that important. If parts were dealer installed or someone put something on their car in the driveway, not really all that relevant to what you originally set out to do.

Don't let the minutia get out of control. I think the basic premise you came up with originally is sufficient.

After thinking about it for a little bit, I'm inclined to agree.

It looks like we might be at a standstill; no responses in over a week!

There are a couple in the carpart thread if you were so inclined to get the vins and call Ford to find out the number. You could also follow along on E-bay, Craigslist etc get the vins and call Ford. This would allow you to fill in your spreadsheet. It really would have to be a labor of love on your part to complete it as best as can be. Some info would be non-existent.

I think RoyalPita was keeping a list as well. Perhaps he would be willing to give you a copy.

    Angry

I just called that number, they would only give me the build number, nothing more unless I purchase the certificate, which I think sucks. Anyone else have this happen recently?

I think you are lucky that they provided that much. They are offering a service. It takes time to get the information for the customer. Time costs money. Why should they give away their product for nothing? Ain't no such thing as a Free Lunch. No sense being mad ....
