    stainless works

Just curious about their system. Is the ceramic coating really worth the money? Does it keep the headers from turning blueish? Are the turbo mufflers too loud? I guess that depends on your prefferences.

Love the headers and the coating

No color changes and god they run so much cooler inside of the engine compartment.

get water spots on them but there is a high temp polish you can use now on ceramic coated headers to keep them looking nice.

I have no clue about anything else other than the Mocat system though.

After my post I you tubed for stainless works turbo mufflers and did get some hits. I can't decide if they would be too loud when riding in the car. I don't wan't to have to blast the radio when riding.

IMHO, coating stainless headers is simply an asthetic mod, and a waste of money.

However, SW headers are far superior to Kooks, glad you've chosen them

Stick with OEM mufflers, you will be pleasantly surprised at how AWESOME it sounds.

I say go with the coating. Uncoated headers will turn colors and show their age, ceramic coated ones will always look great. Temperature difference, I dunno. It would take a before/after test and I've never run the uncoated ones.

Mufflers, stockers are quiet but may have more flow restriction. For quiet and high flow go with Borla Turbo, Turbo XL or Pro XS. One member tried them and had them taken back off because he claimed they were quieter than stockers. But with LT headers they ought to be about right.

I don't believe in coating either, I actually prefer the look of the bare headers as they change colours over time.

I am not sure how big I can go and I think my sig is already a bit large with the mod's listed although now all of them are listed.

BTW the temp is low enough that I can alomst touch the headers with in maybe 10 minutes of shutting off the car due to how fast they cool
down and how low the outer temp stays in the first place so yes it make's a serious difference.

The SW headers are great, I did a GB here years ago.

The coating does affect underhood temps, so I got it. I'm unsure of scavaging effects though. The engine compartment stays much cooler than without the coating.

The SW mufflers are LOOOOOUD. 2Dmax got the whole system, headers to tailpipes and he took them off after 2 weeks. Mind you he had a Trilogy, and it was also completely drowned out by the SW mufflers. So were the helicopters taking off at his workplace!
3 of us went to a dyno with our MMs, and the guy said they were some of the loudest mufflers he'd heard.

You can get the coating locally probably cheaper. SW was charging $400, most local places were doing it for 275-300 bucks for the exact same stuff.

Wow thanks for the info! For anyone considering SW long tubes - August is FREE install month. Buy them in August and they'll install them for free.

I would have thought that the SW mufflers (being a turbo design) would be fairly quiet. I'm going with Dynomax Super Turbos someday. 25" overall length...

    03 300A - Number 1727
    - Super Touring - 10k in the best upgrades - 13.8@99 N/A - SOLD
    - STAP was so much fun, loved meeting you all and racing.

Are they actually turbo design though? On the site they call them chambered turbo mufflers, if they are as loud as people are saying something tells the tube just goes in and dumps into a hollow space, then finds it's way out.
