    Grounding straps

    My question here is
If these straps are not on the car right now, can they be simply added with regular 4gauge or 2 gauge high quality car audio ground wire or is the bond strap better? I am missing a few bond straps and this could be the reason for my radio interference.

I make them out of 4 gauge stranded wire soldered to a copper lug and heat shrink tubed. Battery to the right front fender and rear right side cam cover to the firewall.

Are you taking about the bonds on the hood and the trunk, etc?

Those extra ground straps are there to help prevent interference from 2-way radio transmitters installed in the car...they won't do anything to help if you have interference on your AM/FM radio. You can certainly add them, but don't expect them to fix anything, if that's your issue. For anything that is going to be flexed, you should use the flat braided stuff, but any reasonably flexible stranded wire will likely be OK...welding cable would be perfect.
