orange connector on air susp compressor

So all the videos online show it easily being pushed in (the orange connector) and the vacuum line easily pulling out. But I'm having a hell of a hard time with it. It won't come out. Do I have not small enough hands or not big enough? Seems simple enough. Push in the orange circle and pull out on the vacuum line. But not coming out.

Use the flat head screwdriver to press in on the orange bit (toward the compressor, press from the top). While you're doing that, pull on the air line. Should come right out, first time I tried this it took me a moment but once I figured it out, I can pop them out every time.

I must have tried for a few hours and almost gave up. My wife was going to the grocery so I asked her to try it. She couldn't get it either. So I continued to try. But when she got back from the grocery, guess what? She tried again and it came out. WTF? lol I guess she needs to be opening the pickle jars from now on. ha ha. Anyway, new compressor is in and seems to be working. I hear it come on and off. Also, it is not as loud as the original. For some reason, I always remember the original always being loud.

Does you car sit even ? Or does it lean a little to driver's side in rear?

I'd say the car leans more to the passenger side. The passenger rear tire seems to be deeper in the wheel well often. Probably shot air springs also.
